One year later...
CAn you believe it!!!. A couple of days ago we celebrated the 1st year of life of our little doll, time is going by so fast, we almost lose track of it!.
On the 14th we will celebrated BIG, we are prepraring a nice and cute first b-day party, we hope she have LOTS of fun and received lots of presents :)....
Gramna from canda is comming so it's gonna be great, we will post later on how it was,so far preparatives, invites, food, decoration and lots of surprises are comming together for the big day. We can wait!.

So, after the amazing trip that God give us as a wedding gift, we are back in Mexico for the birth of our baby. We are very excited to see and to have this time.
We gonna miss alot of our friends, but hey!, someday we will back to those places where we leave you.

Asi que despues del viaje que Dios nos dio como regalo de bodas, regresamos a Mexico para el nacimiento de nuestro bb. Estamos emocionados de ver y tener este tiempo. Vamos a extranar a muchos de neustros amigos, pero oigan!, algun dia regresaremos a esos lugares donde los dejamos.

Baby Arrival
After the long wait, she's here. Yes, it's a baby girl. Her name is Siena May Furgason Escalona, she was born on the 8th of February @ 9:45pm. She is really cute and already smiling to the world. What a blessing!.

Despues de una larga espera, llego!. Si, fue una bebita. Su nombre es Siena May Furgason Escalona, nacio el 8 de Febrero a las 9:45pm. Esta preciosisisima y ya esta sonriendole al mundo desde ahorita. Que bendicion!.

Diapers, bottles and all the fun
Siena it's fun. I never experience have a baby before (all the time or be my own), it's amazing to see her and think that she was with us during the trip and she experience in a different way this trip. Hopefully she have the same calling that we have. I trust the Lord will guide her and make her a wise women how will do big things for/with Him.
Changing diapers is been a challenge, let me tell you it's not that easy, I need to practice more, currently I'm still chilling cause of the operation, I can move or do things for a couple of months. Jared and my Mom are a HUGE help.

Panales, biberones y todo la diversion
Siena es divertida. Nunca experimente lo que era tener un bb(todo el tiempo), es increible verla y pensar que estuvo con nosotros durante el viaje y que lo experimento de otras fromas muy diferentes. Esperamos que ella tenga el mismo llamdo que nosotros. Confio en el Senor queEl la guiara y la hara una mujer sabia que hara grandes cosas para/con El.
Cambiar panales es todo un reto,dejenme decirles que no es tan facil como se ve, necesito mas practica. Actualmente me estoy recuperando de la cesarea, no tengo mucha movilidad y no puedo hacer mucho, pero Jared y mi Madrecita han sido una GRAN ayuda.

1st Month
Crazy time, we have a couple of complications this month. Siena is doing better, know she weigth almost 4,500 kg and her length it's 51cm. God is been teaching me how amazing have a children is, a truly feel bless to have her here with us. The diaper things is doing better, she's pretty calm and nice. It's a good baby.

1er Mes
Tiempo loco, tuvimos algunas complicaciones este mes. Siena esta mejor, gracias a Dios, ahora pesa 4,50kg y mide 51cm. Dios me ha ensenado cuan increible es tener un hijo, relamente me siento bendecida con tenerla con nosotros finalmente. La cosa de la cambiada de panales va mejorando, ella es muy calmada y agradable. Es un buen bb.

9 1/2months and counting
Our baby girl is soooo fun!.
She have the biggest eyes and the most amazing way to check up on things, she loves to figured out how things work and why!. She 72cm tall, almost 10kg and start walking, she loves to talk and play with the most simple things in the world.
She get her first Christmas tree, soon also she will enjoy some Mexican ponche!.(Christmas is early in our house cause our trip to Brazil).
This winter we gonna be working in Brazil, near to one river of the Amazons call Rio Madeira (River Wood), so it's gonna be crazy HOT!.I need to look for a good repellent.

Nuestra ninita es muuuuyyy divertida!
Tiene unos ojototes enormes y es muy observadora, le encanta investigar como funcionan las cosas y porque?!. Mi de 72cm de alto, casi 10kg y empieza a hacer sus pininos para caminar, le encanta hablar y jugar con las cosas mas simples en el mundo. Le llego su primer arbol de navidad, pronto va a disfrutar de Ponchecito (un calientito!). (Navidad llego temprano a la casa por nuestra salida a Brasil).
Este invierno vamos a trabajar a Brasil, cerca de un rio de las Amazonas, llamdo Rio Madera, asi que va hacer un CALORON!Necesitamos un buen repelente.

11months
Time is going by so fast!. I can believe it!
We are pretty close to have her 1st B-day, barnyard or farm style. It's exciting+ the visit of the granparents from Canada.
She's almost walking by herselfe, talk alot, have 11 teeth, lots of stregth and extra-loved food.
She spend her first Christmas on the Amazons, eating cinamon rolls (made by a lady from the USA who is been living in here for 5 years), turkey and chicken. New Years we stay up to late, but she have fun after a gift exchange and some traditional brazilian good food, we huge everybody and went to bed....it was fun! We get a towel,perfum and liquid soap.
We are ready to head back to Mexico, Ensenada in a couple of days, after a defrief here, we are going to eat out and do some souvenir hunting. Siena enjoy the crickets, tarantulas, bats, spiders, ants, jungle rats and ligthbugs and monkey figthing in the mornings in our back patio (it is the jungle), the mosquitos bites, the heat, the strong rain, the green huge grass and playing with the teens from the base.It's been a good experience and we gonna miss this place!.

11 meses
El tiempo se ha ido rapidisisisimo!. No lo puedo creer!
Estamos muy cerca de su primer Cumpleanos, con el tema de en la granja. Estamos emocionados!+la visita de los abuelos desde Canada. Ya casi camina x si sola, habla mucho, tiene muchos dientes, fuerza y le extra-encanta la comida. Ella paso su primera Navidad en el Amazonas, comiendo cinamon rolls (hechos x una senora de los EUA que lleva viviendo 5 anos aca con su esposo), algo de pavo y pollito asado. Ano Nuevo nos quedamos despiertos hasta tarde, pero se divirtio despues de un intercambio de regalos y alguna buena comida brasilena tradicional, abrazamos a todo mundo y nos dirigimos directo a la camita...fue divertido!.Nos llevamos un toalla, un perfume y jabon liquido.
Regresamos pronto a Mexico, Ensenada, despues de tener un tiempo de evaluacion aca, nos van a llvar a comer y a hacer una cazeria de recuerditos. Siena disfruto de los grillos, tarantulas, murcielagos, aranas, hormigas, ratas de la jungla y luciernagas y x supuesto de los monos y sus peleas matutinas en nuestro patio trasero (que ademas es la jungla), los piquetes de mosquito, el caloron, la fuerte lluvia, el altisisisimo pasto verdey jugar con los jovenes de la base. Ha sido una buena experiencia y creo que vamos a extranar este lugar.

Where is porto Velho, Brazil?
Sorry I miss the intro of the city, a little bit late but here it is.
Porto Velho is the capital from the State of Brasilia, Rondonia.
Population: 334,661 people.

Celebrating the end....for a new beginning
We're witness of the great things that God have for this city, the youth at church and on the base.
We spend a couple of hours playing, watching photos, eating, dancing and haging out to do the official closing of MA.
After the leaders pray for the commited staff we set up some games and enjoy some really good and nice mexican quesadillas (of course). And I made some little card to thank them for the hard and good job that they made.
We are thankful for their lives, the rock and we will keep them in our heart and prayer.
God move in amazing ways, a ministry was born trougth MA. that's a good beginning, isn't?

Celebrando un final....por un principio
Fuimos testigos de las cosas maravillosas que Dios tiene para esta ciudad, los jovenes de la iglesia y los de la base.
Pasamos algunas horas jugando, mirando fotos, comiendo, bailando y platicando para la clausura oficial de MA.
Despues de que los lideres oraron x el personal tan comprometido, nosotros preparamos algunos juegos y disfrutamos de unas buenas y reales quesadillas mexicanas (x supuesto). Les hice una pequena tarjeta para agradecerles x su trabajo arduo y bueno.
Estamos agradecidos x sus vida, ellos son geniales y los mantendremos en nuestras oraciones y corazones.
Dios se movio en fromas maravillosas, un ministerio nacio a causa de AM, No es un buen principio?.

Third Week Cancel, but good news...
Cancel, whhhhaaaattt!. Yes, no more MA running until next summer, but some churches ask to use the YWAM property and buildings for a anual family christian camping time, so the staff still working on games, taking the church members to the jungle trail, flying fox and some other fan stuff set up on the jungle for people to get involved with mother nature, hahaha.
About 125 people, eat, sleep and do mess around the base. The 20 teens part of the MA staff have to clean and prepared everything before, during and after they left.
They say that they have a great time, lots of worship, preaching and activities.
Now we are celebrating the end of this vacation time for the teens and the excellent work with MA.
They're great, puntual, open, loving, brave and funny. The perfect staff.

Tercera Semana Cancelada, pero buenas noticias....
Cancelada, Quuuueeee!, Si, no mas AM hasta el proximo verano, pero una iglesia pidio usar la propiedad y edificios de JUCUM para un campamento familiar anual, asi que el personal siguio trabajando en juegos, llevando a lso miembros d ela iglesia a una caminata x la selva, flying fox y algunos otras cosillas divertidas preparadas para que las personas se involucren con mama naturaleza, jajajaja.
Cerca de 125 personas comieron, durmieron e hicieron tiradero alrededor de la base. Los 20 jovenes parte del personal de AM estuvieron encargados de limpiar, preparar todo antes, durante y despues.
Parece que tuvieron un buen timepo, mucha alabanza, enssenaza y actividades.
Ahora vamos a celebrar el fin de las vacaciones para los jovenes y el excelente trabajo que hicieron con AM.
Son geniales, puntuales, atentos, abiertos, amorosos, valientes y chistosos. El personal perfecto!.

Second Week
This time, we receive more the youth pastors from the churches than regular kids. We think the churches are just sending them to check out the program and what it's about.
It's been amazing, the atmosphere is different from last week, some of the youth part of the staff feel uncomfortable with the youth leaders for been older than them.
We try to encourage them to feel more comfortable and secure and what God has giving them on this time and it seem to work, by the next day their attitude was complited different.
Some of the kids from last cicle or week are been coming to hang out and help.
We have a testimony to share with you....

One of the youth group, was pretty touch by the river communities, they commited to do something to help, they hear about this family with no food and clothes, so they collect some and went to visit them but they coulnd't find them. On teir way to the community, they pass a street full of drunk and drudaddicted people.
On their way back, one of the kids so this man pretty drunk and start talking to Him, this young man was so commited to help this man that end up praying for him, so the rest of the youth start talking wih the other people and praying for everybody, even the drunk man say "Pray for my buddy".
So they talk and decide to comeback with some cofee and clothes for them every weekend.
The new ministry is call "Do Justice" as the theme for Mision Adventures this season.
God is AAMAZING isn't.

This cicle end up pretty good, the youth leaders have a metting to know more about the program and the purpose. They are excitedn and happy and ready fro next winter to send their kids for more of MA.
More work but more Fun!

Segunda Semana
Esta semana recibimos a los pastores de jovenes mas que a los jovenes del grupo.Creemos que los pastores estan haciendo esto para checar de que se trata y que es AM.

First Week of MA
The 30 youth from the different local churches arrived today, after set them up in their bunks, they're welcome to MA, after explaining the meaning of the theme and the goal of the week. They oficially start.
The next days they play games, get to know each other better, learn about passion, purpuse,purity and proclamation with speakers from the base, they were ready to spread the word of God.
So many of the students they never came close to the river, so it was amazing to see who much interest they have in to get to know the river people (who normally are outlaws, sick and homeless that leave out of the reach of the city) and help out.

The kids this week they were really touch by the way Ywamers are commited to work for and with the river people and their communities. After this week they ready to work with their churches and some even comeback with YWAM!.
We see what surprises God have for us for next week

Primera Semana de AM
Los 30 jovenes de Iglesias locales llegaron hoy, despues de acomodarlos en su litera, los recibieron a AM y despues de explicar el significafo y las metas de la semana. Oficialmente empezaron!.
Los siguientes dias jugaron, se llegarona conocer mejor, aprendieron acerca de pasion,proposito, pureza y proclamacion con oradores de la base, ahora estan listos para hacer evangelismo.
Muchos de los estudiantes nunca habia estado cerca del Rio, fue increible ver el inetres que tenian de conocer a las familias que viven en el rio (normalmente son buscados x la policia, enfermos o sin hogares y trabajo tratando de vivir fuera del alcance de la ciudad) y ayudarles en sus necesidades.

Los muchacjos esta semana fueron muy tocados por al forma en que los Jucumeros aqui estan comprometidos con las familias que viven en el rioy sus comunidades. Despues de esta semana estan listos a regresar y trabajar con sus iglesias y algunos hasta a regresar y trabajar en JUCUM!.
Ya veremos que sorpresas tiene Dios para la siguiente semana.

Preparing for Brazilian MA
So we have our first meeting with the staff. Basical kids between 12 to 17. They are amazing and very different, in the weeks that we are been here we loved them already.
After setting and stablishing rules and work. We have 3 days of staff training, we setup up the stage, prepared the games, confirm with pastor the number od people that it was coming, setup the passion play and hang out. We are ready!!
Ready for the next 2 cicles of 30 local brazilians. We pray that God touch their lifes.

Preparandonos para Aventuras Misioneras Brasilenas..
Despues de nuestra primera junta de personal. Basicamente jovenes de entre 12 a 17 anos de edad. Son increibles completamente diferentes unos de otros, pero en als pocas semanas que llevamos aqui, ya los amamos a todos!.
Despues de preparar y establecer ciertas reglas y trabajo, tuvimos 3 dias de entrenamiento donde preparamos la decoracion del salon, los juegos, llamadas para confirmar el numero de personas que vienen, preparar la obra de la Pasion y de pasar un buen rato. Estamos listos!
Listos para los siguientes 2 ciclos de 30 brasilenos locales. Oramos que Dios toque sus vidas.

Hot Christmas+Brazilian New Years
Siena's first Christmas was super HOT, we were invited to go with some of the staff and the base directors leader to a friends house to celebrated Christmas with them.
We eat some regular Christmas stuff+ lech-on "(young pig).

New Years, was fun, they set up a place call Salon de Todos (Place for everybody), with tables and the families from that base that still here, we share some food, deserts and a white elephant gift exchange.
When 12 O'clock come, we huge and some kids start fireworks.

Sorry we don't show you some pictures, but during the madness of packing we forget the camera wire to download pictures.
But hopefully soon we will!.

Navidad Calurosa+Ano Nuevo
La primera Navidad de Siena estuvo muy calurosa, se nos invito a ir con algunos del staff y los directores de la base a casa de unos amigos a celebrar Navidad con ellos.
Comimos lo regular de Navidad + lechon (nuestra primera vez, fue muy bueno!.).

Ano Nuevo, fue divertido, prepararon un lugar llamadoSalon de Todos, con mesas y las familias que no salieron de vacaciones de la base, compartimos comida, postres y un intercambio "elefante blanco".
Cuando las 12 O'hrs. llegaron, nos abrazamos y algunos ninos prendieron cohetes.

Perdonen que no mostramos fotos, durante la locura de empacar, olvidamos el cable de la camara para bajar las fotos.
Esperamos poder mostrar algunas prontito!.

Brazil, Amazons
So beautiful country!.
We spend a couple of days in Rio waiting for our fligth to Porto Velho, the life is really simple and very latinamerican. After this we flow over Brazil to arrived in Porto Velho in Brasilia. We are in a ywam base that works with the Indians of the River call Madera (an arm of the Amazons river).

We are starting the program next week and we are excited, most of the staff is very young but, God is good and He's preparing this kids for so meting bigger and greater...!

Hermoso pais!
Pasmos algunos dias en Rio esperando nuestro vuelo hacia Porto Velho, la vida es muy sencilla en este lugar y muy latina....Despues volamos sobre Brasil para llegar a las Brasilias y nuestro destino final Porto Velho. Estamso en una base de JUCUM que trabaja con los indigenas del Rio Madera (un brazo del Rio Amazonas).

Empezamos el programa la siguiente semana y estamos emocionados, casi todo el staff son adolescentes, pero Dios es bueno y el esta preparando a estos jovenes para algo grande y muy bueno!

Spring and Summer

God is been so good!. This year we help out on the outreach part of this program, even when we didn't have idea were to start or what to do really, the H.S. was able to help us and guide us.

Jared was en-charge of the Sundays afternoon "big event", were we take the MA kids to a part of the city to do some ministry to the local people (kids and adults) with games, hair cuts, doctors check ups and even popcorn everything free, after this we share a message about how incredible is our life with Jesus and how important is to get your ticket to haven trougth Him. Troth this way of ministry we are able to attend around 300 Mexican families this year and at list half of them become Christians.

I was en charge of the local Pastor's, planning the activities with the teams and organizing the help and needs on their church, it was a blast!. We work with around 54 new pastors from all kind of denominations and with their churches. This year we are trying to implement a monthly follow up program with them.
We also have the opportunity to part er with local mercy ministry like; soup kitchens, seniors homes, homeless people, kids in risk ministries, orphanages, etc....

Siena's first MA, was exciting, visiting the church's and pastor's and helping out his dad with the Sunday's events.

Primavera y Verano

Dios ha sido bueno!. Este ano, ayudamos en la parte de cruzada de este programa,incluso cuando no teniamos la menor idea por donde empezar o que hacer, el E.S. nos ayudo y guio.

Jared estuvo encargado del "gran evento" los domingos en la tarde, donde llevamos a los chicos a una parte de la ciudad a hacer ministerios con la gente local (ninos y adultos) a traves de juegos, cortes de cabello, chequos medicos y hasta palomitas gratis! despues de esto, compartimos un mensage acerca de los increible que es nuestra vida con Jesus y que tan importante es tener su boleto para el cielo a traves de El. A traves de esta forma de evangelismo atendimos a 300 familias mexicanas y por los menos al mitad de ellos rindieron sus vidas al Senor.

Yo estuve a cargo de los pastores locales, planear actividades con los equipos y organizar la ayuda y necesidades en las Iglesias, fue una bendicion!. Trabajamos con 54 diferentes nuevos pastores de todas las denominaciones y con sus congregaciones. Este ano estamos implantando un programa mensual de seguimiento con ellos.
Tambine tuvimos el privilegio de ayudar a algunos ministerios de misericordia locales como; comedores para ninos, casas de ancianos, albergues, ministerios de ninos en riesgo y orfanatorios, etc....

Las primeras AM de Siena fueron muy buenas, visitando als Iglesias y pastores y ayudando a su papa con los eventos del domingo.

December
We finally get back in Mexico. It's different put my feet back in home, I miss it!.
We help out on the comedor (soup kitchen),with the Christmas party. God provided a pinata, some toys, clothes, and a cake decorated with our hands....
We are getting close to have the baby, we can't wait to see her or him....
It's an exciting season full or changes.

January
We are pray, today the base director of our mission in Ensenada ask us to comeback as a full time staff, helping with Mission Adventures. We will see, we loved Herrnhut.
About work, we are currently setting up stuff for the baby and get some financial support going for the birth.
Also, we are helping my mom with some prayer and church services.

February
Siena is here!.It was a loong process, I still don't get how I have a living human been inside me, it's AMAZING.
Also we help out in a leaders camp for the church and ministry of my mom, "the pastor", she allow us to share with the church a little bit about the trip, what we learn and teach them about faithfulness and missions. It was great.
God say 2 years again in the YWAM Ensenada base......

March
Happy B-day to me!!!. Besides been also the second month of life of Siena.
Been a mom and dad it's exciting, we still need to learn Siena's language, but we are excited and learning, thank God or my mom and for our pediatrician, he's GREAT!!!
We start preparing everything for the MA Spring...it's gonna be crazy be back on base and work again in there.

April
We are working, I still pretty fragile from the birth, but I thing that I'm doing better everyday, also Siena it's getting little by little better and stronger. Thanks to God.
I'm doing some work from home. Jared goes back and for, from the base. It's fun.
Mexican pastor seems to have a better attitude about working again with YWAM.

May
Jared's b-day, wooo 27.
We finally move, the apartment across the street from the YWAM Base it's not too bad, we need to do some serious cleaning, cause of Siena. She's gonna stay a couple of weeks in our room until she gets use to.
The spring break it's going good. Feel nice get out of the house for a while and meet with them. Spring break it's not so hard, we start a new outreach program with an evangelism event, with people who cut hair and doctor and dentist. Every Sunday afternoon. It's fun. Everybody on the teams seems to like that so we will see how it goes for summer.
We have a pastors dinner on base. We have a good number around 25 or 30 of them. They seem excited and available. I'm gonna have to do ALOT of work.
Siena it's growing so much and fast, she is soooo nice.She use now 6 month old size of clothes also she have her first 2 teeth from the bottom jaw. CRAZY!

June
Summer starts, it's been fun, allot of work but fun, I still trying to learn to work and be with Siena.
The pastors are doing an excellent work with the teams, the summer staff it's doing pretty good also. Jared again is Caifas in the passion play, created inside the MA program to help connect the people on the teams with the work that God is doing. It's exciting we are in the middle of the summer, we will see how it goes.
Siena it's already sitting up strength without help, she is pretty easy going everybody loves her. Vaccinations are pretty good and easy.She loves her veggies, juice and fruit. We are introducing cereal to her.
I'm helping my brother teaching a little bit of basically Internet and power point to the pastors. 2 hours for 2 weeks. It's good to get back in track and work again in what I like, teaching people.

July
We are getting close to the summer to be over. It's very hot here.
Siena it's getting her 2 top teeth now. She's in cup training now also, she loves to go out and see the city (specially the palm trees).
This month, my mom start a project to teach the indigenous ladies where she works an skill so they will make money without needing to leave their homes

Agosto/September
It's so exciting, we have around 250 kids, the local churches are excited, for most of them it's the first time receiving a time, so we are all with big hopes that this time the outreach are gonna be better than other years. God open door with so many children ministries and good churches.
Siena is growing ALOT, thnak God she hasn't get sick and we pray that she don't get sick, she have now 4 teeth,her smile it's cute.
We are expecting Summer be over soon, so we can head up to canda to visit Jared's family.

October
We have some new that a YWAM base need some help staring MA (Mission Adventures), we will see if there's something that can be done.
Siena get her Mexxican and Canadian passport, USA don't what to greant her the nationality cause Jared is not american enougth...Hahaha.
We are back into the building houses program and our visiti to Canda was a success, we spend 3 week in Canada. Finally Siena get to meet her english speaking family.

November
Our way to Brazil, remeber that i say that a Base need it help. We finally get a request from YWAM Porto Velho, Brazil. this YWAM Base it's amazing, they work with the tribes in the Amazon, they have an school for the kids and medical facilities to help them.

Hello Herrnhut!
We arrive to Frankfort airport, it was nice, we make a 20 minutes walk to the train station to find out that we have to go back to the airport and use the local train. God is been blessing us since the beginning because the ticket to get to Dresden (the main city) will cost us ALOT. But because we arrive on the weekend, Germany have an special where you pay 35 euros and you can travel all day, all around Germany. So we toke the train and after almost 7 hours we finally arrive to our destination, YWAM Herrnhut.

It´s a little cute town in the middle of nowhere. Nice place to be, quiet, people is easy going and lots of good cheese, beer and jam. This place is 1 hour from Dresden. Manufacture clothes, fabrics, wooden stuff, furniture, bread, its a nice place.

The base is call "The Castle", it's beautiful and HUGE. The have DTS schools with 100 students + staff (around 50). It's a place full of life. It's great and really peaceful. We join so far to the maintenance, housing and hospitality departments. We are getting ready for the 50 students to arrive in one week. So scrubbing on your knees the floor, mopping, swiping, installing and putting together furniture is been our "job". The best part is having in the mornings praise and worship, intercession or meetings.

Hola Herrnhut!
Llegamos al aeropuerto de Frankfort, muy agradable, tuvimos que caminar por 20 min. a la estacion del tren, para despues regresar de neuvo pues era mas barato usar el metro local. Dios nos ha bendecido desde el principio con el boleto a Dresden (ciudad cerca de donde vamos), pues era muy costoso. Pe como llegamos el fin de semana, Alemania tiene un espcial de pagar 35 euros y puedes viajar todo el dia a donde quieras en Alemania. Asi que tomamos el tren local, el unico inconveniente fue el cambio de etsaciones (5) y despues de 7 horas mas llagamos finalmente a nuetsro destino. JUCUM Herrnhut.

Es un pueblito lindo en medio de la nada. Es un buen lugar para descansar, tranquilo, callado, gente amable, mucho queso, embutidos y cerveza. Este luagr esta a 1hr de Dresden. Manufacturan ropa, cosas de lana, ceramica, telas, muebles y pan, es un lugar agradable, fuera de la gran ciudad.

La base se llama "El Castillo", es hermoso y GRANDE. Tienen EDEs con 100 estudiantes + personal de tiempo completo (aprox.50). Es un lugar lleno de vida. Es genial y pacifico. Por el moento nos unimos al depto. de mantenimiento, hospitalidad y hsopedaje para preparar la casa para los estudiantes que llegan en un semana. Asi que tallar el piso en rodillas, mapear, barrer, lipmpiar, acomodar, organizar ha sido nuestro "trabajo". La mejor parte ha sido en als mananas con la alabanza, inetrcesion y juntas.

For those who like history
Herrnhut (meaning The Lord's watch)...This little town have a relevant meaning for the Christian community, it was build by the Count Inserter in 1722, he was part of the Moravian Church (earliest protestants to the roman catholic church), this community send the first missionaries into other nations. Its economy is based in church administration, education, tourism and manufacturing, including a 26-pointed star that is use on Christmas season and it has been produce for over 150 years it's call "Moravian advent star" . Herrnhut is located 1 hour after Dresden, 45 minutes to Chec Republic and 30 minutes to Poland. (if you want to check more info, look on the wikipedia under Herrnhut).

Para aquellos a quienes les gusta la historia
Herrnhut (significado, El Senor observa)...Este pequeno pueblo tiene un significado relevante para la comunidad cristiana, fue construida por el Conde Zinzendorf in 1722, el era parte de la Iglesia Moroviana (los primeros protestantes a la iglesia catolica), esta comunidad mando a los primeros misioneros a otras naciones. Su economia esta basada en la administracion de la iglesia, educacion, turismo y manufactura, incluyendo una estrella de 26 picos que es usada en temporada de Navidad y ha sido producida por mas de 150 anos, es llamada "La estrella de adviento moroviana". Herrnhut esta localizada a 1 hora de Dresden, 45 min de la Republica Checa y 30 minutos de Polonia. Picking up food!
It's funny how sometimes, we have the wrong idea that helping, listening or talking to the life of people, it's not ministry. I have a hard time to update the website cause it seem after all the active in the mercy ministries that we do in India, we aren't doing God's work anymore. I was praying this morning (ximena), and I ask God, "What I can write on the website, we are most of the time hanging out with people or talking to them?". God answer me: "Do you think that's not enough?. So I reply with a very religious attitude : "Well, not really, what about been your hands and feet's on ministry!". So he remained me what happen a couple of days ago with one of the staff on base, we were invited for our new German friend Doris to pick up from the local store the food for the week (she's en charge of the kitchen). She was very stress cause things on her day seem not be coming like she would like to, so we feel that we should do something, so we start talking, listening and laughing all the way to the store, Jared was in the back choosing music to listen to, on our way back to the Castle, she say that we make her feel so good and relax!. That makes us feel so good!, we were ministring the life of somebody, just by the fact of spend time with her and listen how her day was going!. AMAZING. So God say,"remember that day, she was depress, sad, stress and disappointed but you guys make the difference in her day (been my hands, to bring consolation; my feet's by helping her), you think that's not enough and ward to share". It's trued I say, she was smiling the rest of the afternoon!. I learn that not only mercy ministries and doing hard work for God it's ministry, hang out, blessed, pray and share time with others it's also important and it count in the heart of God!. So, please don't miss the chance to be a blessing for someone, you can still be hand and feet's of God helping them to pick up food on a hard and stress day!.

Recogiendo comida!
Es curioso como algunas veces tenemos la mala percepcion (idea) de que si ayudamos, escuchamos o hablamos a la vida de alguien, no estamos haciendo ministerio. He tenido un tiempo dificil para escribirles acerca de lo que hemos estado haciendo, pareciera que despues de tod ala actividad con los ministerios de misericordia que hicimos en India, no estamos cumpliendo con lo que Dios planeo para nosotros en este viaje. Estaba orando esta manana (ximena), y le pregunte a Dios, "Que puedo poner en la pagina web, nos la hemos pasado casi todo el tiempo con gente hablando con ellos?". Dios me contesto: "Crees que no es suficiente?. Asi que le dije con un actitud muy religiosa: "Bueno, de hecho no, que acerca de ser tus pies y manos en ministerio!". Asi que recordo lo que paso hace algunos dias con una de las staff de la base, fuimos invitados por una de nuestras nuevas amigas alemanas, Doris es su nombre, a recoger de la tienda local la comida para la semana (ella esta encargada de la cocina). Estaba muy estresada porque las cosas en su dia no estaban saliendo como ella esperaba, asi que sentimos que debiamos hacer algo, empezamos a hablar, escuchar y a reirnos todo el camino hasta llegar a la tienda, Jared estaba en la parte de atras escogiendo musica para escuchar, en nuestro camino de regreso al Castillo, Doris nos dijo que la haciamos sentir muy tranquila y relajada!. Eso se sintio bien!, estabamos ministrando a la vida de alguien solo por el hecho de pasar tiempo y escuchar como iba su dia!. INCREIBLE!. Asi que Dios me dijo,"recuerdas ese dia, (ustedes fueon mis manos al traer consuelo, y mis pies al ayudarle) ella se sentia deprimida, triste, estresada y decepcionada, pero ustedes hicieron la diferencia en su dia, piensas que no es suficiente y que no vale la pena compartirlo". Es verdad me dije, ella estuvo sonriendo el resto de la tarde!. Aprendi que no solamente ministerios de misericordia y trabajar duro para Dios es ministerio, pasar tiempo, bendecir y orar por otros es importante y cuenta en el corazon de Dios!. Asi que, por favor, no pierdan la oportunidad de ser una bendicion para alguien, ustedes pueden ser las manos y pies de Dios ayudando a recoger comida en un dia duro y estresante!.

Commitment with God
God is great!. Did you realize how easy sometimes this words come to your mouth and how different is when your heart it's involved with this trued. We went to church on Sunday, the service was pretty simple but powerful, after worship we have communion. We realize that in every country, that we visit so far, God set up always to have communion with us. We heard that people that travel doing missions normally have experiences with God that there intimate, I think that this was our personal experince with God, he dedicated and commited ourselves with Him in a intimacy level over our expectations. He prepared our heart for this time to learn and grow in/with Him. Communion sometimes seems to miss the real purpose, it's more than a little snack after the service. More than be OK with people. It's about commitment and honor your relationship with God, it's a powerful tool that keep us right with Him. The meaning for us now, it's more powerful than before, God also looks for you, to spend time and show you that He is in there for you always, the distraction or routine and life it's made the value of Communion go down. During our wedding, we ask to our friends to present communion to us during the ceremony, everything start from there, God is looking for hearts available of having intimacy with Him and involved Him in our lives all the time and have present what He always does with us. Did you miss the meaning of communion last time?.

Compromiso con Dios
Dios es genial!. Se dan cuenta como algunas veces estas palabras son faciles de decir y como es diferente cuando su corazon esta involucrado con esta verdad. Fuimos a la iglesia este domingo, el sevicion fue muy sencillo pero poderoso, despues de la alabanza tuvimos santa cena. Nos dimos cuenta que en cada pais que hemos visitado, Dios ha preparado este evento para nosotros. Escuchamos que las personas que viajan haciendo misiones tienen experiencias con Dios que son intimas, creo firmemente que esta es nuestra experiencia de intimidad con Dios, el nos dedico y comprometio con el en a un nivel de intimidad sobre nuestras expectaciones. El prepraro nuestros corazones para este tiempo para aprender y crecer en/con El. Santa cena algunas veces parece que ha perdido su verdadero proposito, es mas que una botanita despues del servicio, o mas de estar bien en sus relaciones con otros. Es acerca de comprometerse y honrar su relacion con Dios, es una herramienta poderosa que nos mantiene alineados con ellos. Creo que el significado para nosotros es mas poderoso que antes, Dios tambien nos busca, para pasar tiempo con nosotros y mostrarnos que El esta siempre con nosotros las distracciones y la rutina de la vida diaria hacer que perdamos su valor. Durante nuestra boda les pedimos a una pareja de amigos que presentaran Santa Cena durante nuestra ceremonia, creo que todo empezo por alli, Dios esta buscando SIEMPRE por corazones dispuestos en tener intimidad con El e involucrarlo en nuestras vidas todo el tiempo. Has perdido el significado de la santa cena en tu vida?.

Doing ministry in 1 heart
After we learn that anything is immposible for our God and that He takes care of everyone of us or talking/hearing people is a wasted of time for ministry, God put us in a test. Jared meet one of the DTS students, he was like everybody else, he believe strongly in his heart that he was the only one going trougth hard times as a christian and question everything about his faith. God gives us the oportunity to talk to him, Jared set up a time in a weekend to help him to understand and study the bible, what starts like a teaching/learning session, become soon in a question/aswer time, for him, it seems like we have all the aswers and for us. We pray in our hearts and God put the rigth answers and easy explinations ever!. It was great to be able to help him to realized that the enemy was setting up lies and douths in his heart. At the end we pray with him and encourage him to do small steps of faith from that moment to on. Do you think that God brings us to this place for this 1 heart?.

Haciendo ministerio en 1 corazon
Despues de haber aprendido que nada es imposible para Dios, que El esta al tanto de cada uno de nosotros y que hablar/escuchar a las personas no es un perdida de timepo en el ministerio, Dios nos puso una prueba. Jared conocio a un estudiante de la EDE, el era como todos nosotros, creia fuertemente en su corazon que el era el unico que pasaba por tiempos duros como cristiano y se dudaba acerca de su fe. Dios nos dio la oportunidad de hablar con el, Jared se puso de acuerdo en pasar algunas horas en un fin de semana ayudandole a estudiar y entender la Biblia, lo que empezo como una sesion de aprendizaje/ensenanza pronto se convirtio en un timepo de preguntas/respuestas, para el, era como si nosotros tuvieramos todas las respuestas. Oramos en nuestros corazones y Dios puso las respuestas correctas y explicaciones mas simples que puedan existir!. Fue genial poder ayudarle y hacerle ver que el enemigo estaba atacando su corazon con dudas y mentiras. Al final, oramos con el y le animamos a dar pequenos pasos de fe de ese momento en adelante. Creen posible que Dios nos trajo a este lugar por 1 corazon?.

Leaving Herrnhut
After everything that we learn this couple of weeks and the new skill that God give Jared to fix things, we are ready to move on. We spend last week "vacation" on Prague (at list that's what we tougth). God show us more about having a heart for a city even if the need is not so obvious like in a third world country. Pray and Intercession are aldo keys for God and that's another way that he can use us. So we gonna miss Herrnhut and Prague, our new german friends and the staff in the castle. But we believe that an especial annoiting it's been giving to us, and that we are leaving something in this place too. Our 14 hour trip on the train tomorrow mornin to get to Basel, Switzerland it's gonna be crazy, but we are excited to visit some friends. After that we are planning to fly to Holand to the YWAM Base there to help out with the need in this place. (Also, put in practice our new prayer and intercession hearts).

Dejando Herrnhut
Despues de todo lo aprendido estas ultimas semanas y las nuevas habilidades que Dios le dio a Jared para arreglar cosas, estamos listos para movernos. Pasamos esta ultima semana en Praga (al menos eso es lo que pensamos). Dios nos mostro mas acerca de tener un corazon para una ciudad incluso cuando la necesidad no es tan obvia como en un pais del tercer mundo. Oracion e Intercesion son llaves indispensables para Dios y estae s otra forma en la que El nos usa. Asi que vamos a extranar Herrnhut y Praga, nuestros nuevos amigos alemanes y al personal del castillo. Pero creemos hemos recibido una uncion especial y que dejamos algo en este lugar tambien. Nuestro viaje de 14 horas en el tren manana para llegar a Basel, Suiza va estar bien loco, per estamos emocionados de visitar a nuestros amigos. Despues de esto volamos a Holanda, la base jucumera de alli y ayudar con las necesidades en este lugar. (Tambien para poner en practica nuestros nuevos corazones por intercesion y oracion).

God working in "vacation season"
It's funny, we mean our vacations, no God's. We belive that taking a break after our work in Indo, India and Herrnhut, Prague will be the perfect place of it!. We spend sometime on our own (after been surrender by 150 other people and sharing apartment with some guys from DTS), besides that God have His own plan, wich like always is perfect. He let us see the need beyond the obvious and how needy all the youth are.
Free sex is a casual thing to do for some of them, religion it's a mind thing and sometimes a west of time, morality and comun sense are for old people.
Why God was letting us see all that in "vacation time", probably we could just ignore it and have fun in our own way. But even when we don't talk openly about it, I believe that Jared's heart and my feel a big burn for this place.
Walking around the city and seen beautiful streets and buildings full of history, we find outselves praying, sometimes we get distract for the music and laugts os young kids on the bars, nigth clubs and pubs.
We gonna leave you with this burn, please keep in your prayers Prague, the most visit city in Europe, where the morality and alcohol are cheap and easy.

Dios trabajando en "temporada de vacaciones"
Es curioso, nso referimos a nuestras vacaciones, no las de Dios. Creimos que tomar un descanso despues del trabajo en Indo, India y Herrnhut, Praga seria el lugar perfecto!. Pasamos algun tiempo solos (despues de estar rodeados de 150 personas y compartir departamento con algunos muchachos de la EDE), ademas de que Dios tenia su propio plan, que es siempre perfecto. El nos permitio ver la necesidad sobre los obvio y lo necesitados que estan los jovenes.
Sexo casual es una cosa normal para algunos de ellos, religion es un estado mental y en algunos casos una perdida de tiempo, moralidad y sentido comun es para viejitos.
Porque Dios nos estaba permitiendo ver todo esto en nuestro "tiempo de vacaciones", probablemente nosotros podriamos haberlo ignorado y divertirnos a nuestra manera. Pero incluso aunque no lo hablamos abiertamente, creo que el corazon de Jared y el mio recibio la carga por este lugar.
Caminando por la ciudad y vimos hermosas calles y edificios llenos de historia, nos emcontramos orando, algunas veces nos distraiamos por la musica o las risas de los jovencitos en los bares, tabernas y clubs nocturnos.
Los vamos a dejar con esta carga, por favor mantengan en sus oraciones, Praga, la ciudad mas visitada en Europa, donde la moralidad y alcohol son baratos y faciles.

Everything with Compassion
We stay in a youth hostel during our time in Prague. Our room was share with other 15 people in bunckbeds, it was crazy, in the beginning was pretty nice cause in the room we were 3 couples so each of one of us, choose a corner and we don't boder each other. Later on the week some singles girls join us. We will share about them later on. Out of that was nice, we learn alot about was going on in the "world outside" our on christians communities and the life the people lives outthere.
The bible say that we have to love God first and then our neighbor....for someone that haven't experience in real life certain situations it can be akwared to stay in a place like this, where people don't believe in anything (no faith), don't trust anybody (hearts close)and live under alcohol, casual sex and without a purpose in life.
I believe that God it's in a hurry to make a difference in the lifes of this people. Compassion it's all about seeing, hearing and acting. Without action it's not compassion and therefore we don't love our neighbor.
Without love there's not effective evangelism!. Maybe it's a sensitive subject cause sometimes we just don't feel call to do it, maybe we are just to busy fixing our own life or simple we believe that it's somebody elses job, but we neeed to see the need, hearing the people (so we can connect with them and feel like they feel) and then do something about it! So the questions is, It's God the first love of your life?, Do you love your neighbor enougth to see there need, listen to them and do something about it?.

Todo con compasion
Nos quedamos en un "albergue de jovenes" (es como un hotel) durante nuestro tiempo en Praga. Nuestro cuarto era compartido con otras15 personas, en literas, estuvo medio loco, al principio fue agradable porque eramos 3 parejas, asi que cada uno se agarro un rincon y no nos molestabamos. Despues, durante la semana se nos unieron algunas muchachachas solteras, explicaremos su historia mas adelante.
Fue bueno, creo que aprendimos mucho acerca de lo que esta pasando en el "mundo de alla afuera". Fuera de nuestras comunidades cristianas, ver el tipo de vida que la gente lleva alla afuera.
La biblia dice que "debemos amar primero a Dios y despues a nuestro vecino..." para algunos que no han experimentado en"vida real", ciertas situaciones pueden llegar a ser incomodas en un lugar como este, donde la gente no cree en nada (no hay fe), no confia en nadie (cerrados a otros), y viven bajo el yugo de alcohol, sexo casual y una vida sin proposito.
Comparto esto porque creo que Dios tiene prisa en ser la diferencia en la vida de estas personas. Compasion es acerca de ver, oir y actuar. Sin accion no hay compasion y por lo tanto no amamos a nuestro vecino.
Sin amor no hay evangelismo efectivo!. Tal vez este es un tema muy sencible porque algunas veces; no sentimos el llamado, tal vez estamos muy atareados arreglando nuestras propias vidas o simplemente creemos que es el trabajo de alguien mas, pero necesitamos ver la necesidad, escuchar a las personas (para poder conectar con su forma de sentir en el momento) y despues hacer algo!. Asi que al pregunta es, Dios es tu amor numero uno en tu vida?, Amas a tu vecino lo suficiente como para ver su necesidad, escucharlos y hacer algo?.

Wrong desire
Remember that 3 girls that I share before about, they came to stay in our room. One of them really impact me. She was probably around 20, chubby, blonde and very sporty body, I mean big back, big legs etc...She wasn't very pretty either, anyways, 2 days before we leave they start haging out this guy. I beat that you are imagine already what I'm gonna share about, ha?. Let me continue, we decide to go bed that nigth early so we have as much rest as we could before our trip back to Germany. In the early morning all the party people comeback, later on we start hearing some chatting very low, kissing and you can imagine the rest. One nigth of casual sex, the next morning I couldn't understand how this two people, without really know each other, act like if nothing happen. Please understand that I never experience anything like this, I have friends that they were like this but I never really experience it on person!. This is where putting our desire in the wrong place take us. Maybe not with fornication but I was reading a book from the author of Wild at Heart that desire is part of our nature but in the wrong time and the wrong use it can result in destruction. I feel praying for this girl, without I never talking to her or knowing her, but it was hard for my heart to see how young girls are move for sensuality and desire to an autodestruction level, now more than ever. Please, pray for the youth in this time all around the world. I have a question for parents and the church, pastors and youth pastors or for those who have friends "in the world". When we gonna start hearing, seeing and acting with compassion for this youth; when we gonna start teaching our kids or youth about where fornication will take them?.

Deseo erroneo
Recuerdan de las 3 muchachas de las que comparti antes, compartimos cuarto con ellas. Una de ellas relamente me impacto. Le calcule unos 20 anos, robusta, guera y con un cuerpo muy cuadradote!..No era muy bonita, en fin, 2 dias antes de que nosotros nos fueramos, ellas empezaron a pasar mucho tiempo un un muchacho. Les apuesto que ya se imaginan que es lo que voy a compartir, no?. Permitanme continuar, decidimos ir a dormir esa noche temprano para poder descansar tanto como se pudiera antes de nuestro viaje de regreso a Alemania. En la madruagada tosa la gente de fiesta regreso, mas tarde empezamos a escuchar platica en un volumen muy bajo, despues besos y ya se imaginaran el resto. Una noche de sexo casual, a la siguiente manana no pude entender como estas dos personas, sin relamente conocerse, actuaban como si nada hubiera pasado. Por favor entiendan que nunca habia experimentado algo asi, tuve amigas que eran de esta forma, pero realmente nunca lo habia vivido en persona!Esto es a donde poner nuestro deseo en el lugar equivocado nos lleva. Tal vez no con fornicacion pero estaba leyendo un libro del autor de Salvaje de Corazon, que el deseo es parte de nuestra nauraleza, pero en el tiempo equivocado y dando el uso erroneo puede resultar en destruccion. Senti orar por esta chica, sin conocerla o haber cruzado una palabra con ella, pero se le hizo dificil a mi corazon ver como ahora las jovencitas son movidas por la sensualidad y el deseo y como las lleva a un nivel de auto-destruccion. Por Favor, oren por los jovenes en este tiempo alrededor del mundo. Tengo una pregunta para los padres, la iglesia, pastores y pastores de jovenes o para aquellos que tienen amigos "en el mundo". Cuando vamos a empezar a escuchar, veer y actuar con compasion por los jovenes?; Cuando vamos a empezar a ensenarles a nuestros hijos o jovenes adonde la fornicacion los va a llevar?.

City of Basel...
Definetly you need to come and see it!. We can't tell you how great the people is, the tradition, the chesse and the chocolate.
Our swiss-german and swiss-frech friends were amazing!. We miss you guys!.
Let me tell you about this city, it's one of the largest city, it's rigth in the border with Germany and France.
They have "The Alpes". The most beautiful mountains that we have ever seen, and some natural rivers that supply the city and country sides.
They are full of history and we discovered and learn alot about the culture and some random and fun facts that of course we gonna share with you.
1. They have to do military service for 9 years. They report every 6 months for 3 weeks in their bases. If you are in the "military nurse", they practice shots to each other. That's rigth one guy to the other; have to give his arm and veins to practice in how to put the niddle in. Ouchh!.
2. After they finish the military service, the soldiers take back home they AMO and gun; because of this also this country have a higest rate of suicide.

Ciudad de Basel...
Definitivamente necesitan venir y verla!. No podemos describirles totalmente acerca de lo genial que es la gente, de sus tradiciones, el queso y salchichones y por supuesto del chocolate.
Nuestros amigos suizo-alemanes y suizo-francesa fueron increibles! Los extranamos chicos!.
Dejenme decirles un poco acerca de esta ciudad, es una de las ciudades mas grandes, esta ubicada exactamente en la frontera con Alemania y Francia.
Tienen "Los Alpes". Las montanas mas hermosas que jamas hemos visto, y algunos rios naturales que that supply the city and country sides.
They are full of history and we discovered and learn alot about the culture and some random and fun facts that of course we gonna share with you.
1. They have to do military service for 9 years. They report every 6 months for 3 weeks in their bases. If you are in the "military nurse", they practice shots to each other. That's rigth one guy to the other; have to give his arm and veins to practice in how to put the niddle in. Ouchh!.
2. After they finish the military service, the soldiers take back home they AMO and gun; because of this also this country have a higest rate of suicide.

The YWAM Base in here it's great, it's call "The port", they bougth this building that use to be rooms in rent for sailers. It's also a famous base because of the history that have. They start in the red ligth district sharing about God with the prostitues and people who just to be living on the streets.

Amsterdam it's known around the world for the legal prostitution and drugs. If you ever visit this place and feel like having some cofee one afternoon, please, avoid to go to the "cofee shop" other wise you would be surrounded of druggies and people "smoking the marihuana".

It's a great please to do ministry, the people in here have a huge need for God and moral, they are so just to walk in front of the big windows where the ladies show inselves to the mens.
They enjoy for a snack to have some french fries with mayo. (Try it is good!)

There's lots of ywamwers from different parts of the world, the base director it's actually from Venezuela.But they have hollanders, africans, latinos, canadiens and some americans.

Tiempo de Ministerio
Jared estuvo trabajando en remodelaciones, uno de los ministerios parte de la base llamado "El Tabernaculo", compro un edificio a un lado del primer edificio en la zona roja para usarlo como un cuarto de intersecion y oracion. El corazon de este ministerio es tener un lugar especifico donde la Iglesia local, grupo de jovenes y los jucumeros se reunan a alabar y orar a Dios.

Este edificio empezo como una iglesia satanica, tiempo despues una Iglesia koreana compro el lugar y hacian sus servicios en ella. Despues de esto JUCU lo compro y ahora se esta acondicionando para continuar como un lugar donde se adore al verdadero y Dios vivo.

Hay algunos jucumeros viviendo en este, pero todavia hay mucho trabajo por hacer en el sotano donde Jared estuvo trabajando con un contratista que ha arreglado todos los edificios que le pertenecen a JUCUM. Asi que el trabajaba toda la semana hasta las 4:00pm y despues de regresar soliamos pasar tiempo o ver peliculas con algunos estudiantes de la EDE.

Los miercoles ibamos al servicio que se hace en el 1er edificio que compraron, para las personas sin hogar que viven en la zona roja. Se les da cafe o te y galletas y despues hay un tiempo para platicar con ellos y saber como estan y hacer oracion.

Para mi (Ximena), ayude en el area de hospitalidad, hice un poco de planchado (que ademas no soy buena en eso) y tambien hice algunas tarjetas y letreros de bienvenida para los invitados. La jucumera que esta encargada de esta area, tiene mucho trabajo todo el tiempo asi que le es dificil hacerlas, asi que ayude haciendo las mas que pude. Por el embarazo no pude ayudarle a Jared en construccion (lo que me hubiera encantado), pero tambien me diverti y comparti mucho con mi nueva amiga.

The power of pray
We have amazing news!. Besides knowing God as a reedemer and good. He trudly work trougth the prayer times. Today in the morning one of the staff part of the intercession in the base share with everybody really good news!.

Like we mention before, Amsterdam it's famous around the world for legal prostitution at any level that you can imagine. We find out that big movie starts, politicians and famous people come to specific places in Amsterdam to do "bad things".

There's a very famous place where this people come to hang out and of course behave badly. The ywamers feel in their hearts going around this place and pray over it, so they will close it down forever. Amazing ministy week!
After arrive in the island of Bali, we are been working in YWAM Jimbaran, with amazing people. The indonesian people are great and sweet (almost like mexicans, hahaha). The base is new (9 months old), so almost all the staff are still getting to know each other. So, it has been great to do some pioneer work with them and share their dreams and ministries. The main ministry in Bali is with the kids, hindu kids. They have suffered more than other religions in this place because their parents don't care about education. Also some of them were abandonded when they were babies, or suffer from violence in family or violation from they parents. SO they need lots of love.
We have been helping in the community teaching the kids good manners, english and playing with them. We where invited to work with street kids. It has been a blessing. One of our new friends has a team downtown Denpensar, so we have sharing about Mexico, make some quesadillas and broke a homemade pinata. Also, we get invited to share about missions in a youth group. So far the ministry time is been amazing!!, like you can see.We are learning the languaje, that is pretty cool. So, we will keep you informeded of what happen next week.

Asombrosa Semana de Ministerio!
Aterrizamos en la isla de Bali, hemos estado trabajando en JUCUM Jimbaran, con gente maravillosa. Los indonesios son geniales y dulces (casi como los mexicano, jajaja). La base es nueva (solo 9 meses), asi qeu casi todo el personal se esta conociendo. Asi qeu es emocionante hacer trabajo pionero y compartir suenos y ministerios con ellos. El ministerio principal en la isla de Bali son ninos, nino hindues; ellos sufren mas que otras religiones de este lugar porque los padres no se interesan por su educacion, tambien algunos de ellos sufren de abandono desde bebes o violencia intrafamiliar asi como violaciones por los padres. Asi que estan muy necesitados de atencion y amor.
Hemos estado ayudadndo en la comunidad ensenadoles ingles, buenos modales, y jugando con ellos. Fuimos invitados a trabajar con ninos de la calle. Ha sido una bendicion. una de nuestras amigas tiene un equipo en Denpensar, asi que pudimos preparales un dia mexicano con quesadillas, juegos y hasta pinata!!!. Tambien fuimos invitados a un grupo de jovenes a compartir acerca de misiones. Asi que el timepo de ministerio hasta el momento es Asombroso!!, como pueden ver. Estamos aprendiendo el idioma, que es muy bonito. Asi que los mantendremos infomrados de lo que pase la siguiente semana.

The Room, The Roster and The Good News
After spend almost 2 weeks in bed hoping to get heal from the burn in my leg and live on the same room without been able to walk out, with the AC I feel like a vegetable on the fridge. But thank God the healing is better and we are moving again tomorrow to Singaraja to work in an orphanage in there for the next week.
Jared wasn't be able to sleep last couple of nigths and NO because of me (cause he's a pretty good nurse). Gambling is a big thing in Indonesia, so our neigthboor decide to buy a roster for chicken fights, who also was really happy (the roster), sing all day long and also really early in the morning. At the same time I was expirence some sensations that make thing that I get Tifo or something. The result. WE WERE PREGNANT!!!.For next year around January, Febrary we add one more to our new family. Is been and exciting week.

El Cuarto, El Gallo y Buenas Noticias
Despues de haber pasado dos semanas en cama esperando la sanidad en la quemada de la pierna y vivir en el mismo cuarto sin poder caminar, con el AireAcondicionado, me senti como un vegetal en el refrigerador. Pero Gracias a Dios, esta mucho mejor mi pierna y manana nos movemos de nuevo a Sigaraja a trabajar en un orfanatorio por la siguiente semana.
Jared no ha podido dormir las ultimas noches y No por causa mia (es un buen enfermero). Apuestas en Indonesia son una gran cosa, asi que nuestro vecino tomo la desicion de comprar un gallo de pelea, que ademas era muy feliz pues cantaba todo el dia y la noche, especialemnte temprano en la manana. Al mismo tiempo estuve experimentando sensaciones que me hicieron pensar que habia agarrado una Tifo a algo asi. El resultado. ESTAMOS EMBARAZADOS!!!.El proximo ano entre Enero y Febrero agregaremos un miebro mas a la nueva familia. Ha sido una semana emocionante.

The Island of Jakarta
Sorry that we haven't update you guys, but this area don't have the facility of the internet. We fly out of Bali a week ago, and we have been staying in an orphanage. It's been great, the kids are amazing!!. Also we are been invited to share on youth groups and small groups of church. This week will be visiting a tribe 5 hours from Jakarta doing pioneer work with the Vineyard church and Ywam.
The pregtnacy is going ok, Ximena hasn't been feeling pretty good, but we trust that everything is going ok for the baby. We have to go for a check up next month. Is a exciting time. Indonesia is AMAZING!!.

La Isla de Jakarta
Sentimos mucho que no hemos podido mantenerlos iformados de lo que ha pasado ultimamente, pero no contamos con un internet cerca. Volamos de Bali hace una semana, y nos hemos estado quedando en una casa hogar. Ha sido genial, los ninos son maravilllosos!!. Tambien hemos sido invitados a compartir en grupos de jovenes y grupos pequenos. Esta semana estaremos visitando una tribu a 5 hrs. de Jakarta haciendo trabajo pionero con la Iglesia Vina y JUCUM.
El embarazo va bien, , Ximena no se ha sentido muy bien, pero creemos que todo esta bien para el bb. Necesitamos hacer una visita al medico el proximo mes. Ha sido un tiempo emocionante. Indonesia es ASOMBROSA!!.

Beautiful Bandung
Indonesias is been stilling our hearts, is a beautiful country we lots of opportunities to grow and developed. We travel 2 1/2 hrs from Jakarta to Bandung. We visit and help on the YWAM Base in there, share on the church and spend sometime teaching and practicing english with the ywamers. Also we spend almost 6 days with a wonderful family, they take us to see the an active volcano, spring water and a tradicional show with puppets and music. God is been blessing us so much!!!!. Ximena is doing better, she still strugeling with some issues but doing better. The baby is growing strong and healty. Please keep praying for us!!!!.

Precioso Bandung
Indonesias nos ha robado el corazon, es un hermoso pais y con muchas posibilidades de crecimiento y desarrollo. Viajamos por 2 1/2 hrs de Jakarta a Bandung. Ayudanos y visitamos a la base de JUCUM alli, compartimos en la Iglesia y pasamos algun tiempo ensenado y practicando ingles a los jucumeros. Tambine pasamos casi 6 dias con una maravillosa familia, ellos nos llevaron a ver una volcan activo, aguas termales y un show de marionetas y musica tradicional. Dios nos ha bendecido muchisisisisimo!!!!. Ximena se siente mejor, todavia batalla un poco, pero mucho mejor. El bb esta creciendo fuerte y sano. Por favor mantenganos en sus oraciones!!!!.

Coming back to Jakarta!!!
After our visit to Bandung, we stop to visit Jared's dad who was working in the west part of Jakarta, this week we gonna be speaking for 3 days in a tranning program for leaders and church planters. Teaching in some churches. Then we comeback to the orphanage to visit our kids and fligth our to India. The process is been long and great. We hope and pray to see again our indonesian friends next year.

De regreso en Jakarta!!!
Despues de nuestra visita a Bandung, paramos a visitar al papa de Jared, que estaba trabajando en la parte oeste de Jakarta, esta semana vamos a estar preparando conferencias para lideres y plantadores de iglesias por 3 dias. Predicando en algunas iglesias. Despues regresamos al orfanatorio a visitar a nuestros ninos y volamos a India......El proceso a sido largo pero genial. Esperamos y oramos poder volver a ver a nuestros amigos indonesios el proximo ano.

Two big contrastes in this place.

We difently have a big heart for India and the need in this place, metting YWAMWers how is trusting and struggleing everyday is a big encouragment. Plan to visit this place, you would love it!. You would grow in different areas of your life!.

Este es un pais lleno de buena comida, colores y telas, gente feliz, hindues, preciosas vistas, vacas sagradas en las vialidades, vegetarianos, saris, joyeria de oro, autos llamados rickshaws, trenes, necesidad y pobreza. Estas son algunas cosas que definen a este Hermoso pais pero en gran necesidad. Se asombrarian de ver la necesidad de esperanza y amor, pero la felicidad y los buenos tiempos disfrutando con las personas de este pais y su comida!. Dos contrastes en este pais.

The house, food, languaje and the learning....
We seatle on a house that YWAM find for us, we cook our own food (mexican of course), wash clothes and the bedwear, walk around to see where we could by food and vegetables (the market is amazing), and wait to get contact for the team of YWAM. In the street after ours, is the house of the 10 girls rescues by the ywamers from the red street ligth area (prostitues zone) living with the mothers. We get to see them and share some of the movies that we bougth in Indo. God also in this week of "relaxing", takes us to learn and do some spiritual warfare. Because most of the people are hindus, have idols at their houses, well, this house wasn't the exception, with small idols and a HUGE one on 1 of the rooms, God ask us to pray for our health (spiritual and body), to cover with his blood our selfes and the baby. It was an amazing time. Funny thing, compare to other countries, this was the first time that we were on our one, some people talk english but sometimes they Don't so we also learn sign-languaje (hahaha). We learn ALOT!

La casa, comida, lenguaje y aprendizaje....
Nos acomodamos en una casa que JUCUM encontro para nosotros, cocinamos nuestra propia comida (mexicana por supuesto), lavamos ropa y sabanas, caminamos alrededor para ver donde comprar comida y vegetales (el mercado es asombroso), y esperamos ser contactados por el equipo de JUCUM. Una calle de donde vivimos, esta la casa de 10 ninas rescatadas por JUCUMeros de la zona roja de la ciudad (area de prostitutas), donde vivian con sus madres. Llegamos a conocerlas y compartir algunas de las peliculas que que compramos en Indo. Dios tambine en esta semana de "relajacion", nos llevo a aprender y hacer guerra espiritual. A causa de que casi todas las personas son hindues, tiene idolos en su casa, bueno, esta casa no fue la excepcion, desde pequenos hasta ENORME idolos; Dios nos mando orar por nuestra salud (espiritual y corporal), cubrirnos con su sangre y al bb. Fue un tiempo maravilloso. Cosa curiosa, comparado con otros paises, no tuvimos traductor con nosotros , algunas personas hablan ingles pero algunas veces No, asi que tambien aprendimos senas (jajaja). Aprendimos un buen!

Street Kids and Families Ministry
Last couple of weeks we have been working with Jerish, a YWAMer who felt the burn in his heart to work and help the street kids in Mumbai, like we share before, there's around 300,000 kids living in the streets. We have learn so much about people and mercy ministries. We have visit every Tuesday families in their homes, normally is a room of 4x5meters with 3 families in it!: we share with them stories from the Bible, we even make some mask the other day and make everybody participated will Jared share the story, we pray, give clothes or toys away and then we have breakfast with a family near by that make and sale indian breakfast. We have also visit the street kids on the bigger station and take them to a church who offers free food for them and clothes (sometimes). On wendsday we travel for 2 hours on the train to take them out side the city in a river to take showers, cut hair and nails, get some food and snacks and wash their clothes.

Ministerio de Ninos y Familias de la calle
Las ultimas semanas hemos estado trabajando con Jerish, un JUCUMero que sintio la carga en su corazon por ayudar a los ninos de la calle en Mumbai, como compartimos antes; hay aprox. 300,000 ninos viviendo en las calles. HEmos aprendido mucho acerca de las personas en esta situacion y ministerios de misericordia. Cda martes visitamos a las familias en sus casas, normalemnte es un cuarto de 4x5 metros compartido con otras 3 familias!; compartimos con ellos historias biblicas, el otro dia hicimos mascaras para que todos participaran en la historia mientras Jared la contaba, oramos, damos juguetes y ropa; despues tenemos desayuno estilo india, una de las familias vive de vender desayunos, asi que hacemos nuestra paradita alli!. Jueves visitamos a los ninos en la estacion principal donde les llevamos a una iglesia que da comida y ropa (alguans veces). Miercoles, viajamos en tren por 2 horas a las afueras de la ciudad a un rio donde los ninos, lavan su ropa, se banan, cortan su cabellos y unas, reciben botanas y comida.

Red Ligth Street Area (Prostitues Zone)
We work also, with church planting, who have a first aid and prayer ministry. There's specific areas where you can go trougth and theit rooms living next to each other with 3 or 4 ladys or girls living in it. Some of this womens get pregnated and have thir kids living with them. It's a hard live. Most of this girls come from the villages south India, where the education is poor and also the families, so, they get married with mens in the villages and because of the lackness of work and foos, this mens convence their wifes to move to Mumbai with them (because everybody believes that there's LOTS of work and MONEY here), the reality is different, when they arrive and after struggle alot their realize that is not that easy, so they take their wifes and sale them to the mens that rent the rooms, telling the girl that is their sister (the other prostitues), and live the girls alone in there. Without vocational skills or education, they stay trap in this place try to make enogth money to eat that they. There 1, 700 million of prostitues in Mumbai Area. So we pray and share our snack with them. We have a fun time trying to speack and teach english!!

Zona Roja (Area de Prostitucion)
TRabajamos tambine con el ministerio de plantar iglesias, que tiene un ministerio tambien en este lugar con primeros auxilios y oracion. Hay areas en especifico donde puedes caminar por los cuartos que estan pegaditos donde viven 3 o 4 mujeres. Algunas de estas mujeres quedan embarazadas y sus hijos viven alli con ellas. Es una vida dura. La mayoria de estas mujeres vienen de zonas rurales al sur de India, donde la eduacion es pobre y tambien als familias, asi que algunas de ellas se casan con hombres de este mismo lugar y a causa de trabajo y comida, estos hombres las convencen de moverse a Mumbai (porque se cree que hay MUCHO dinero y trabajo), la realidad es diferente cuando llegan aqui despues de batallar varias semanas, llevan a las chicas a este lugar y les dicen que se van a quedar con "las cunadas" (hermanas del esposo que son prostitutas del area), y dejan a estas chicxas abandonadas. Sin vocacion o educacion se ven a trapadas en este lugar. Hay 1,700 millones de prostitutas en el area de Mumbai. Asi que oramos por ellas y compartimos lo que tenemos de botanas. Nos divertimos tratando de hbalar con ellas y ensenarles ingles.

Traveling on the train
How you ever consider how the sardines feel on the small cans?
Well traveling and sleeping in a train in India is almost the same. You have a small space to sleep if you are tired, share bathrooms (by the way it is squating bathrooms) and seat too. But is been amazing and a huge blessing to be able to travel and meet people on the trains. Everybody seems pretty excited about having foreings among them. We even have ask to give autographs. We are currently in Chennai (before Madras), at the YWAM, God uses this place in amazing ways from leprosy, college, HIV, day cares, schools, to even a restaurant as a ministry for reaching business people!. We work all the last week in a half on the HIV ministry, that provide housing for some of the infected people, specially children and women. Amazingly, now at the last month of pregnacy, a women how is infected with HIV can go to the hospital and spend the rest of this month receiving treatment for the baby, so when he or she is born, don't get affected for this virus. God is mercyfull eith the innocents, ha?.
They have 11 children and 10 women, in separated houses, they have an school specially for them so they can have the same opportunities that others kids have. So Jared teach them new methods to practice and learn the times tables (uhg!). Also we make some piggy banks with them of paper mache. They love it!.

Viajando en el tren
Alguna vez se han imaginado que sienten las sardinas en estar en esa pequena lata?.
Bueno, viajar y dormir en el tren en India es muy parecido. Tienes un espacio muy reducido para dormir si estas cansado, compartir bano (por cierto es bano de aguilita) y asientos. Pero ha sido asombroso y una tremenda bendicion poder viajar y conocer gente nueva en los trenes. Todos estan muy emocionados con tener extranjeros entre ellos; hasta nos han pedido autografos. Estamos en Chennai por el momento (antes Madras), en JUCUM, Dios usa este lugar de una forma magnifica, desde ministerios con comunidades con lepra, estudiantes universitarios, SIDA, guarderias, escuelas de entrenamiento y hasta un restaurante para alcanzar a la gente de negocios!. Hemos estado trabajando con el ministerio de SIDA, que provee casa y alimentos para algunas de las personas, especialemente ninos y mujeres. Sorprendentemente, ahora, una mujer infectada con SIDA, al ultimo mes de embarazo se hospitaliza y le dan todo el mes hasta que el bb nace, tratamiento para que cuando nazca no se vea afectado por este virus. Dios es misericordioso con los inocentes, ha?.
Tiene en el refugio 11 ninos y 10 mujeres, en casas separadas, dentro del programa para los ninos tienen una escuela especialmente para los ninos, asi tienen la misma oportunidad que otros ninos. Asi que Jared les enseno nuevas formas de aprender y repasar las tablas (uggg!). Tambien hicimos alcancias de papel mache con ellos. Les encanto!.

A testimony from the HIV Ministry (A women in the hospital).
She is a married lady with some kids, her husband and her were struggle with money (like most people in this country). They live 7 or 8 hours South of Chennai. Somebody tell the husband that if you donated organs the goverment give you money. So he talk to her and convinced her to donated one of her kidneys. She went trougth the sirgury and in the mind time the husband collect the money and run away, leaving her at the hospital on her own. She get infected with HIV. She is not to sure if from her husband of the hospital (with happens very often cause the hygine is not good at the hospitals). Finally she come home and the husband is living somewhere in the community but hasn't talk to her since he find out that she is infected (the culture discriminated and abandonded HIV infected people). Now she is struggle at home cause she is rejected and getting very sick. She have problem since the operation with infections and things like that. This is only 1 story of millions of people living in this conditions. Family children become street childrens because bouth parents died from HIV. Please keep in you heart and in your prayers the millions of people in India and Africa infected or dying from this virus.

Testimonio del ministerio de SIDA (una mujer en el hospital)
Es una mujer casada con hijos, ella y su esposo batallaban con dinero (como mcha de la gente en este pais).Ellos viven en una comunidad 7 u 8 hrs de Chennai. Alguien le dijo al esposo que si se dona un organo el gobierno indemniza con dinero; asi que esa noche regreso y hablo con ella, convenciendola de donar uno de sus rinones. Ella accedio y mientras estaba en recuperacion, el esposo cobro el dinero y la abandono en el hospital. Se le detecto el virus de SIDA receintemente. No hay seguridad si fue infectada por su esposo o en el hospital (que pasa muy seguido pues la higiene en los hospitales no es buena). Finalmente regreso a casa, el esposo esta viviendo en algun lado en la comunidad y desde que se entero (de alguna manera) que esta infectada con SIDA no ha regresado o hablado con ella (la cultura discrimina y abandona personas infectadas con SIDA). Ahora ella batalla en su casa a causa del aislamiento y serias enfermedades que la atacan. Ha sufrido desde la operacion innumerables infecciones y cosas asi. Esta es solo 1 historia de millones de personas vivinedo en mismas o peores condiciones. Hijos de familia seconvierten ninos de la calle a causa de la muerte de ambos padres por SIDA. Por favor, mantengan en su corazon y oraciones a estos millones de personas en India y Africa infectadas o muriendo por este terrible virus.

We spend this whole week in a YWAM Conference call Celebrate Asia!. We learn a little bit more about the work that committed YWAMers are doing all around China, India, North korea, Tahiland and Taiwan. God is changing YWAM'S heart to childrens minitries. We where able to share the burn for all the kids and the situation that they live everywhere. It was shocking to see some stadistics.
like there's 300,000 soldier children.
It's amazing who God takes care of everybody, isn't?. The biggest population in the world are kids, also are more receptive and soft. We believe sometimes that the Great Commision is for people older than 18 years old.
Anyways, was amazing to see other ministries and the work that they do, share time with people from almost all over the world (chile, pakistan, korea, colombia, great britan, MEXICO (of course, only me), unites states, canada, germany and many more....
We have some cultural activities where we see amazing dances and listen folklore music, it was fun!.
The best of all it was spend time with the granparents of Jared( the greatgranparents of our baby). We have to walk from the hotel to the YWAM Base everyday for around 30 min. It was fun, we experience rain, cow poo, cows chilling and blocking the steet, wet chikens, crazy rikcha drivers and good food!.

Pasamos esta semana en una Conferencia de Jucum, llamada Celebremos Asia!. Aprendimos un poco ams acerca del trabajo que los comprometidos JUCUMeros hacen en diferentes lugares como China, India, Korea, Tailandia y Taiwan. Dios hablo acerca de camiar el corazon de JUCUM y enfocarse en ministerio para ninos. Dios puso esta misma carga en nuestro corazon, pues mundialmente la poblacion ams grande son ninos. Fue un shock ver algunas estadisticas como 300,000 millones de ninos soldados.
Es increible como Dios cuida de todos, no?. Los ninos tienen un corazon muy suave y receptivo, si alcanzas al nino, alcanzas a los padres y la comunidad. A veces creemos que la Gran Comision es solamente para mayores de 18 anos.
En fin, fue genial compartir con gente de casi todo el mundo, 38 paises diferentes (chile, pakistan, corea, colombia, gran bretana, MEXICO (por supuesto, solo mi), america, canada, alemania y mucho mas....
Lo mejor de todo fue pasar tiempo con los abuelos de Jared (bisas del bb), Tuvimos que caminar todos los dias por 30 min. del hotel a la base, Fue divertido, experimentamos lluvia, popo de vaca, vacas descansando y bloqueando las calles, gallinas mojaas, choferes locos de rikchas y beuna comida!

Back to packing!
This week we say GDBYE to India, we comeback to Mumbai and have to do some serious cleanning ans washing because our stuff end up with a bad smell and moho, also we welcome the packing and getting ride off. This week one of our indian friend stay with us, so it;s fun to sleep late sharing about out crazy cultures. The baby is doing pretty good, this week also are getting some monthly chek ups and bloods test, everything OK, thnaks for you prayers and thougths about our updates ans newslatter, we enjoy sharing with you......

De vuelta a empacar!
Esta semana nos despedimos de Idnia, estamos de regreso en Mumbai y hemos tenido que hacer una sesion intensiva de limpieza y lavado de ropa despues de estos dias de viaje donde los olores de humedad y moho se han hecho presentes, tambien le damos la bienvenida a la empacada y desechada de cosas para aligerar las maletas. Esta semana se quedo con nosotros uno de nuestros amigos de India, ha sido divertido dormir hasta tarde comparttiendo histrrias y las diferencia en culturas. El bb esta my bien, pasamos tambien por un chequeo general y pruebas de sangre, todo SUPER BIEN, gracias por sus oracione y compartir sus pensamientos con nosotros como respuesta a nuestras carta-noticia y ultimas noticias, disfrutamos compartir con ustedes!.

The language, culture, food: G'Day Mate, heaps, chips, veggemite, no rain, kangoroo, little penguins, beach, petrol, bega cheese, tomato sauce, electric b&bq's, free entries to museums, (proudly) made in australia, funny birds, kiwis really cheap, good bread, ice-cream no-gelato, healty cereal, cows without spots, heaps of lamb, drive in the opposite side of the road, praying after food not before, butter all the time, driving in the rigth side, cordial-no juice, meat pies, the aussies, koalas, lolly store no candy store, all close at 5:00pm.

Lenguaje, cultura, comida: Buenas Amigo, heaps (harto), veggemaite, no lluvia, pingunos pequenos, playas, petroleo (en vez de gasolina), queso bega, salsa de tomate, planchas para babarbacoas electricas y gratis!, entradas a museos gratis!, orgullosamente todo hecho en Australia, muchas aves, kiwis muy baratos, buen pan, helado se llama gelato, solo cereal nutritivo, vacas sin manchas, monton de borregos, manejan de lado contrario del camino, orar despues de comer no antes, volante del lado derecho,pays de carne, se apodan osis, koalas, tiendas de paletas no dulceria, todo cerrado a las 5:00pm.

Oh Aussie land, is a beautiful place in deed, everything is green, the people are soooo Nice!. Kangoroo's squished in the roads, driving on the wrong side of the road, lots of lamb and barbeques, this is Australia, the first place of our trip. We have visited two places and been in lots more: Canberra (Jared's hometown) and Melbourne, Phillips Island, Baitmans Bay, Sydney.

Oh, la tierra de los osis, es un hermoso lugar sin duda, todo es verde, y la gente es bien linda!, canguros aplastados en las vialidades, manejar del lado contrario del camino, muchos borregos y barbacoas, este es Australia, el primer pais de nuestro viaje. Hemos visitado dos lugares y algunos mas: Canberra (la ciudad de Jared) y Melbourne, las Islas Felipe, Banindman, Sidney.

Now about Canberra... Ahora acerca de Canberra.....
This is the capital of Australia, the weather has been nice, as we arrived and watched all the dead grass because of the lack of rain, we pray to God for some rain, we can proudly report you that we have some storms the last couple of weeks since that prayer time. Hope that kangoroos are enjoing a little bit of green grass!.
Jared took me to see the parlament house, the senators room and the war memorial. It was interesting to be able to see how much this country is going trougth to try to help others.

Esta es la capital de Australia, el clima es muy bueno, cuando llegamos y vimos todo el pasto casi muerto a causa de la falta de lluvia (desde hace 5 anos), oramos a Dios por lluvia, y podemos reportarle orgullosamente que hemos tenido algunas tormentillas en las ultimas semanas desde ese dia de oracion.
Esperemos que los canguritos disfruten un poco de pasto verde!
Jared me llevo a ver la casa del Parlamento, el salon de los senadores y el lugar de memoria de la guerra, es interesante ver por lo que ha pasado este pais y como han tratdo de ayudar a otros.

"Honeymoon time" (one week), Baitmans Bay. "Tiempo de Luna de Miel" (una semana).

Yes, we have our honeymoon at the beach, we staed in a resort, really small, but nice, we had everything that we needed!. It was great time of sharing and resting for a bit after the wedding, travel and preparations!. After our time there, we drove 11 hours from this place to Melbourne. In the 11 hours, we visited a really famous cheese factory, had amazing views and enjoyed each others company!

Si, tuvimos nuestra luna de miel en la playa, nos quedamos en un resort, pequeno pero agradable, tuvimos todo lo que necesitabamos!. Fue un bune tiempo de compartir y descansar un poco despues de la boda, viaje y preparativos!. despues de nuestro timepo aqui, manejamos 11 horas desde este lugar a Melbourne. Durante el viaje, pudimos visitar una fabriba de queso muy famosa, tuvimos vistas magnificas del camino y disfrutamos de la compania mutua!.

Arrival to YWAM Melbourne: Llegada a Melbourne:

This place is amazing!! It was a monastery once but God redemeed it!!!. Our first week here we found out that the street ministry was temporarily stoped a couple of days before our arrival because of the violence in the areas where the ywamers were ministering to prostitutes and drug and alcohol-addicts. But we feelt to stay and help them. We destroyed a room (renovations), prepared food and helped around the base.... Don't miss the next stories.....

Este lugar es maginifico, fue un monasterio hace muchos anos pero Dios ha redimido este lugar!!!. Cuando llegamos nos enteramos que el ministerio en la calle por el que habiamos venido habia parado unos dias antes de nuestra llegada a causa de la violencia en las areas deonde los jucumeros hacian ministerio con las prostitutas y alcoholicos y drigadictos. Oramos y sentimos que debiamos quedarnos y ayudar en lo que ocuparan. Hemos destruido un cuarto (remodelaciones), preparado las comidas y ayudado acomodando y limpiando las diferentes areas alrededor de la base.

The story of the week...
This week, here in Melbourne, we were invited to hear the DTS speaker, talking about Justice according to God (really valuable and shocking), we prepared some banana bread for 60 people and did stuff around base. We have made some friends, Canadian, New Zeland's, Samoan's, Korean's and Australian, God is good.

La historia de esta semana..
Esta semana, aqui en Melbourne, fuimos invitados a escuchar al maestro de la EDE, hablando acerca de Justicia de acuerdo a Dios (muy valiosa e impactante), hemos hecho tambien pan de platano para 60 personas y haciendo cosas alrededor de la base. Hemos hecho amigos canadienses, nuevo zelandeses, samoanos, koreanos y australianos.

After Melborne...
We said goodbye to YWAM Melbourne, and on our way to Canberra we stoped to visit a friend of Jared's in Wagga Wagga. We arrived in Canberra and we found out that it was a problem with our visas for Indonesia. However, God worked out the things and on Friday the 30th, we were finally able to apply for the visa. So then we had to wait three working days for an answer from them. We trusted in God that everything was going to work out good and by wednesday of next week we will have everything ready and we can go to Newcastle as we have planed before.

Despues de Melbourne..
Le dijimos adios a JUCUM Melbourne, en nuestro viaje a Canberra, pasamos a visitar a un amigo de Jared a Wagga Wagga. Llegamos a Canberra y nos enteramos que habia un nuevo reto con nuestras visas para Indonesia, Dios ha hecho funcionar las cosas muy bien y hoy viernes finalmente pudimos presentar nuestras aplicaciones para la visa, tenemos que esperar 3 dias habiles para que nos den una respuesta. Esperamos en Dios que todo va a estar bien y para miercoles de la siguiente semana estemos ya listos para continuar con nuestros planes de ir a Newscastle.

Happy Easter Everyone!!
We arrived on Friday and it has been crazy! It is a nice base, completely different to what we are used to, the base dorms are 15min from downtown, where the ministry and work take place. They have one cafe and shopfront and the offices. During the week everybody works in the differents deparments, but on suturday everybody works in the main youth ministry with the kids, in diferent areas like arts, xtreme sports, music, surfing and more. Then they have dinner at the cafe followed by a youth church for everyone involved. Jared and I are goining to be in intense trainning this week, because we going to be running the cafe in a couple weeks because all the staff are going to an YWAM conference in Sydney.

Felices Pascuas a Todos!!
Llegamos el Viernes, a estado bien loco, pero la base es buena onda, totalmente diferente a lo que estamos acostumbrados, los dormitorios de la base estan a 15min. del centro, donde el ministerio y trabajo pasan. Durante la semana todos trabajan en diferentes departamentos, pero el fin de semana, todos trabajan en el principal ministerio de jovenes en areas como artes, musica, deportes extremos, deportes y mas..en el cafe y despues en la tarde del sabado a la Iglesia de Jovenes. Jared y yo esta semana estamos en entrenamiento intenso porque la siguiente semana vamos a estar a cargo del cafe porque el personal va a una conferencia de Jucum a Sidney.

In the South of Australia, Newcastle
The YWAM Base is in a old hostel that the ywamers call "the Lewis house", lots of rooms, 4 main bathrooms and 1 main kitchen and dining room. This is where we have been living since the 5th of April. The ministry is done downtown with a Cafe on Crown street. They have coffe, hot choc, tea, quesadillas and wraps. We have half-finished trainning, the staff is leaving on Sunday the 22nd to a huge staff conference and we going to be encharge of the cafe for the whole week (aaaahhhh). Anyway, hopefully we will do a good job. We haven't been able to work in the youth ministry because we need a police check. Jared can get it but it's impossible for me, but we trust in God that he bring us with a purpose and that we can bless these guys who work in the cafe and also be a blessing to some people we meet.

Al Sur de Australia, Newcastle
La base Jucumera es un antiguo hostal que los jucumeros llaman "La casa Lewis", muchos cuartos, 4 banos principales, 1 cocina y comedor. Aqui es donde hemos estado viviendo desde el 5 de Abril. El ministerio se hace en el centro, en un cafe que les pertenece en la calle Corona. Venden cafe, choc caliente, te, quesadillas y burritos frios. Hemos concluido la mitad del entrenamiento, el personal se va el domingo 22 a una conferencia y nos vamos a quedar a cargo del cafe toda la semana (aahhh). En fin, esperemos hacer un buen trabajo. No nos ha sido posible trabajar en el ministerio con los jovenes porque necesitamos un chequeo policial. Jared puede sacarlo, pero es imposible para mi, confiamos que Dios nos trajo con un proposito, que podamos ser de bendicion para los que trabajan en el cafe y tambien para las personas con las que hemos hecho amistad.

Mexican Gift in Australia
This week is been pretty busy, Jared get sick and I been working. Also after the Conference and the staff get back, a team from YWAM Mazatlan. Yes, mexicans,(we are taking over this land!!), Hahaha. By the way, this week also, we were in charge of the cafe with one full time staff in this base, it was crazy!, the grill stop working also the spresso machine, so the whole week was an adventure!. We are getting ready to leave to Indonesia. About our other ministry time, we are part of the kids ministry on a local church until we leave. Also, we are been able to minister one of the staff in here and alot of people in the cafe trougth serving them!. Is been a good week. In church last sunday, one guest speaker, chalenged us to be totally available and radically obedient in our relationships with God.So we are working on it!

Un Regalo Mexicano a Australia
Esta semana ha estado muy apretada, Jared se enfermo de gripa y he estado trabajando durante la semana en el cafe. Despues de la Conferencia la semana pasada y el regreso del personal, se vino con ellos un equipo de la base de Mazatlan. Si, asi es, con mexicanos (estamos tomando esta tierra!), jajaja. Por cierto esta semana estuvimos a cargo del cafe, con otro personal de tiempo completo en la base, fue un caos, pues la parilla industrial dejo de trabajar y la maquina de espresso tambien , asi que tuvimos que ingeniarnolas con la parilla, fue definitivamente una aventura!!.. Estamos preparandonos para el viaje a Indonesia en unas semanas. Acerca de nuestro otro tiempo de ministerio, somos parte del equipo de ministerio de ninos en la Iglesia local hasta que nos vayamos. Dios nos ha permitido ministrar a un staff tambien y la gente en el cafe a la que le servimos todos los dias!. ha sido una buena semana. El domingo pasado, el orador invitado nos reto a ser para Dios, totalmente disponibles y radicalmente obedientes a lo que Dios nos pide. Asi que estamos trabajando en ello! Y tu, estas totalmente disponible y eres radicamente obediente a Dios, todos los dias?.

Goodbye Newcastle
After been working for almost 6 weeks in YWAM Newcastle, we say finally goodbye Australia, we spend a couples of days in Sydney and eat kangoroo (in case that you are wondering!!!It taste like cow liver). Is been a huge blessing to share this time with the ywamers and DTS students. Now, we fly out from Sydney to Bali, Indonesia.

Adios Newcastle
Despues de haber trabajado casi 6 semanas en YWAM Newcastle, finalmente le decimos Adios a Australia!!!, pasamos unos cuantos dias en Sidney y comimos canguro (en caso de que se pregunten!!!Sabe a higado de vaca). Ha sido una enorma bendicion compartir este tiempo con jucumeros y estudiantes de la EDE. Ahora, volamos de Sidney a Bali, Indonesia.

We have so many things to tell about it!. It has been a great experience for both of us. We got married in Ensenada. B.C, Mexico. In a beautiful garden call "El Papalote". We had great food. A chocolate fountain, a nice cake with 4 diferent flavors! A mariachi band, a courtet of music and later that night a DJ. The ceremony was pretty cool and simple. Our pastor Xochitl gave us a beautiful speach about becoming one. Everybody had a nice time, our bridesmaids and groosmens, flower girls, ninos de cola (in mexico kids carried the train of the bride's dress), our families, friends, ywamers, bestman and maid of honor and extra guest!!. The wedding in general was so nice and pretty and everybody looked so hansom and beautiful. We really enjoyed our company!. We would like to thank our families and friends. Especially our padrinos (it is a mexican thing. You ask people that you know to help you with something, like the cake or drinks!) for their help and love in this time and season for our lifes. We hope that you enjoyed everything with us!. We love you and will carry you in our heart.,Thanks for sharing this time with us!!

Tenemos tantas cosas que decir acerca de este tema!, y probablemente podriamos seguir hablando eternamente!. Ha sido una gran experiencia para ambos. Nos casamos en Ensenada, B.C. Mexico. En un hermoso jardin llamado "El Papalote".

Tuvimos una comida deliciosa, fuente de chocolate, un pastel muy lindo de 4 diferentes sabores!, preciosos recuerdos para nuestros invitados, una banda de mariachis, un cuarteto de musica y para en la tarde, un DJ. La ceremonia estuvo preciosa y simple. Nuestra pastora Xochitl Orozco, compartio un hermoso sermon acerca de convertirnos un uno.

Todos tuvieron un muy buen tiempo, nuestro cortejo (ninas y ninos), ninas de flores, ninos de la cola y guardaespalditas, nuestras familias, amigos, jucumeros, dama y damo de honor e invitados extras!. La boda en general fue muy linda y todos se veain muy guapitos y guapitas. Dsifrutamos mucho de su compania!.

Agradecemos a nuestras familias y amigos. Especialmente a nuestros padrinos por su apoyo y amor en esta temporada de nuestras vidas. Esperamos que hayan disfrutado de todo con nosotros!.
